PROJECTS

The Eisenberg Carbonatite

  • The Eisenberg carbonatite is situated about 15km from the village of Kalkfeld on a crow-fly path on the farm Eisenberg 78, in the Otjozondjupa Region, in the north central Namibia, ca. 227km NNW of the capital city of Windhoek.
  • The project is ideally located with access to a bitumen highway and a railway line with a rail head in Kalkfeld.
  • Huge Maiden Inferred resources of 570 Mt at 0.9% TREO (NI 43-101)
  • Proved recovery of at least 60% using a hybrid process for the extraction of REE, which consisted of:
    1. Physical upgrade;
    2. PyEarth Process;
    3. Hydrometallurgy; and
    4. Refining
  • PyEarth Process, a novel pyrometallurgy technology developed by Mintek SA, selectively removes Fe from REO with a recovery of >90% REE.
